Former Chelsea ace William Gallas doesn’t believe potentially signing Malick Fofana would be the right move for the Blues this summer.
Chelsea are once again set to be busy this summer and have already completed the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich for £30m.
More new faces are expected to follow the 22-year-old through the door, with Chelsea looking to sign a left winger, versatile attacker and centre back.
With a striker through the door attention now turns to bringing a winger in, with Chelsea currently short on numbers in the wide areas.
Jadon Sancho has left club, and Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and youngster Tyrique George are the only wingers in the squad for the Club World Cup.

Chelsea have made Jamie Gittens their priority target, but they are said to have made a verbal enquiry to Lyon about Fofana.
Lyon are thought to want €50m for Fofana who’s reportedly attracting interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, and Gallas has now had his say on the 20-year-old.
“Malick Fofana is a young player that is still learning and I don’t think that is the right move,” he said as cited on X.com.
“Chelsea have a lot of forward players already and I think they need experienced defenders now.
“They have won the Conference League but that right centre-back position is the one I’d look at, not wingers.”
Fofana scored 11 goals and registered six assists in 41 appearances last season, and is under contract with the Ligue 1 outfit until 2028.
Even though Fofana is a target, Gittens is Chelsea’s top choice at left wing and they’ve already agreed personal terms with the England under-21 international on a seven year deal.

Gittens only wants to join Chelsea this summer, and the Blues had an offer of £42m rejected by Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.
It’s thought a total package of £47m could be accepted, and Gittens scored 12 goals last season including four in the Champions League.
