Manchester United ended a disappointed campaign with an outstanding performance in the FA Cup final to secure the club’s 13th success in the famous competition.

The 2-1 win against Manchester City sparked wild celebrations in the red half of Manchester with players and fans enjoying the moment.

However, as reported by The Daily Mail, one squad member chose not to attend the game at Wembley, effectively rubber-stamping that his future will lie away from Old Trafford.

Donny van de Beek was spotted at a music festival in Amsterdam rather than joining his teammates in London.

Despite spending the majority of the season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, the Dutchman was expected to be in attendance for the showpiece occasion.

Van de Beek only made two appearances for United this year, one in the league and one in the Carabao Cup – both against Crystal Palace.

Incidentally, it was Palace that Van de Beek scored against on his debut for United and it proved to be about the only highlight during his spell at the club.

One more goal followed in his 62 appearance overall with the midfielder failing to get up to speed under multiple managers.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed the 27-year-old, from under the noses of Real Madrid back in 2020, and big things were expected from the talented playmaker.

However, Van de Beek couldn’t get a consistent run in the first team under Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick or former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag.

It is now surely time for United to part ways with the Dutchman who will be desperate to kick start his flagging career.

Van de Beek has been left out of the Netherlands’ provisional European Championship squad, highlighting his fall from grace in recent years.
