The 26-year-old midfielder moves to Frankfurt on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season, with an option to buy.

Donny van de Beek is an Eagle! The Dutch central midfielder has been with English record champions Manchester United since summer 2020, making 62 appearances in all competitions and registering two goals and two assists. In 2023, the 1.84-metre-tall right-footer won the EFL Cup with the Red Devils. Van de Beek, who has won 19 caps for the Netherlands, also made seven appearances in the Premier League for Everton during a loan spell in the 2021/22 season.

The Nijkerkerveen-born midfielder turned pro with Ajax, where he joined the academy at the age of 11 in 2008. After coming through all the youth ranks and winning the U19 title twice with the Dutch record champions, he made his senior debut on 26 November 2015 aged 18, coming off the bench in a 2-1 UEFA Europa League win at Celtic. Three days later, he started and played the full 90 minutes in an Eredivisie match against PEC Zwolle. Van de Beek has a total of 175 competitive games for Ajax (41 goals, 34 assists) to his name and won the Dutch league, cup and Super Cup with the Amsterdam club.

“Donny van de Beek fits our playing philosophy perfectly and is an important piece of the puzzle for our squad,” said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche. “He brings plenty of international experience, which our young players will profit from. Donny also carries a goal threat and should be particularly useful when it comes to getting our forwards into promising positions.”
