Gianluigi Donnarumma was a bit bitter after the 1-1 draw against Lille but said Milan control their own destiny.

Milan missed a chance to reclaim the first place in Group H of the Europa League as they only managed a 1-1 draw against Lille at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

The Diavolo scored first through Samu Castillejo one minute into the second half, but conceded the equalizer in the 65′ minute from the legs of Jonathan Bamba.

“We could have won but we conceded a very avoidable goal, I’m a bit bitter but the important thing is not to lose. We have two other finals, we decide our own destiny,” goalkeeper Donnarumma said in an interview with Sky Italia.

“The Captain’s armband? It’s a pride to be the Milan Captain, but the armband belongs to Alessio, I will probably give it to him on Sunday… the armband gives something more.

“The absence of Ibra? Zlatan is a Champion, he helps us a great deal but all those who take over are good players and they deserve to play for Milan. They will give everything so that we don’t miss him.

“Maradaona’s death? That’s football… as soon as we landed the bad news came out, it shocked me. A hug to all his family members.”
