Tranmere Rovers have snapped up Everton midfielder Rhys Hughes.

Hughes was released at the end of the season having joined Everton as a six-year-old.

He featured regularly for Everton U23s in the Premier League 2 last season where he chipped in with five goals and two assists in 22 games.

The midfielder is a regular in the Wales U21 team and signs a two year deal at Prenton Park.
