But the 17-year-old will remain with his current club, Partizan Belgrade, for another year on loan before linking up with the Premier League side.

Partizan boss Savo Milosevic recently claimed Stevanovic would be worth more than €20m in the future as his talent comes to the fore.

However, they have opted to cash-in now with the teenage prospect keen to take his big chance to head to one of the world's top clubs.

Stevanovic twice featured as a late substitute against Manchester United in the Europa League group stages this season.

He has scored nine goals and three assists in 35 appearances this campaign and follows in the footsteps of Zoran Tosic, who made the same move from Partizan to Old Trafford in 2009.
