Riqui Puig has left Barcelona and signed a three-year contract with LA Galaxy.

The Blaugrana will reserve the right to buy back the player at the end of each season, while also receiving 50 percent on any future sale.

MLS clubs are only allowed three designated players and it appears Puig will be one of them.

Those spots are currently held by Javier Hernandez, Dougles Costa and Kevin Cabral, with the Frenchman expected to leave following the Spaniard's arrival.

Puig, who failed to live up to expectations at Barcelona, is keen to reestablish himself at a side that has shown interest in his services for weeks.

The move will allow the youngster to get the playing time he needs as he and the league set their sights on the 2026 World Cup (which will be played in the USA, Mexico and Canada).
