DONE DEAL: Aston Villa swoop for Ipswich prospect Teddy Bloomfield

Aston Villa are wrapping up a deal for Ipswich Town prospect Teddy Bloomfield.

TWTD reports the defender is joining Villa's academy setup.

Bloomfield is a left-back who has played for Ipswich under-15s, so Villa are looking very much into the future, with the player still having plenty of developing to do - and that that development will continue at Bodymoor Heath.

Villa have also this year brought in Ipswich academy coach Adem Atay to work as the club's professional development coach, and he reunites with former Tractor Boys colleague Gerard Nash, who is Villa's lead U18s professional development phase coach.
