FoodBox provides emergency food, support and advice to people living in Hounslow.
All food donations help support vulnerable people in our community with the means to make nutritious meals for themselves and their families.
Fans are invited to bring non-perishable items with them to the Gtech on matchday and give them to the Utilita Giving team, who will be located at the donation point outside the box office by entrance B of the stadium from 12.30pm until kick-off.
Food items particularly in need are:
Supporters can also donate money on the day. Money raised will be split equally between community projects organised by FoodBox and Utilita Giving.
If you’re attending the match, don’t miss the club's matchday fan zone at Brentford Studios, next to the Bees Superstore!
Prizes will be on offer at the donation point for fans that donate and play ‘Egg Roulette’ and pick an egg at random.
Prizes include chocolate eggs, cuddly chick toys and supermarket vouchers. Donate food or a minimum of £2 to play roulette any time from 1.30-2.30pm.
There will also be a raffle in premium areas and half-time ‘football bowls’ on the pitch to raise additional funds.
In December 2023, thanks to the generosity of Brentford supporters, 10 crates of food and £2,000 were raised for those facing fuel and food poverty at Christmas.
Sally Stephens, the club's fan and community relations director, thanked fans for their ongoing support for the west London community: “Brentford’s reputation as a community club is built on a history of our fans rallying together to support good causes.
“We’re very grateful to our supporters for generously helping others in need. We look forward to having Utilita Giving return to the Gtech for another important day of fundraising for the community.”
Utilita Giving’s executive director Helen Boardman added: “We’re always immensely grateful to the football fans who rally behind our takeover days – there are few better ways to be seen by so many people and to raise fuel and food poverty awareness than through our sporting partnerships.
“We’ve forged some incredibly strong relationships in west London thanks to Brentford FC’s support and we’re very grateful to be able to continue reaching even more vulnerable people across the region.”
