Donald Trump Links To Inter Milan Only A Rumour But Former US President Has History Of Investing In Sports, Italian Media Highlight | OneFootball

Whilst the links between Inter and former US President Donald Trump are nothing more than a rumour, it is true that the 76-year-old has a history of investing in sports.

This is noted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who highlight the fact that Trump has owned NFL team the St. Louis Cardinals in the past, and also ran the Tour De Trump cycling race, later known as the Tour DuPont.

Ultimately, there is very little substance to the rumours linking Trump as a possible buyer who could take over Inter from current owners Suning.

The notion stems from a joke on The Italian Football Podcast, which saw SPAL President and prominent US lawyer Joe Tacopina, who represents Trump, suggest that the former US President could be goaded into taking over at Inter if it were suggested that he wouldn’t be able to.

However, as Tuttosport suggests, it may not be the most far-fetched idea in the world considering that Trump has in the past shown a willingness to try his hands at sports ownership.
