Dominik Kaiser will continue to work with RB Leipzig after the 36-year-old signed a two-year contract extension to carry on his role as "Head of the Career Center", keeping him at the club until 2027. RBL's former captain took on the role in 2023 following the end of his playing career. His job was established to form a key link between the club's academy and first team.
Kaiser signed for RB Leipzig in summer 2012 from TSG Hoffenheim and was a key figure at the club for over six years. His passion, leadership and performances on the pitch played a big part in the Red Bulls marching from the fourth division all the way to the Champions League. The midfielder played 167 competitive games for RB Leipzig in total, scoring 34 goals and recording 35 assists.
After the end of his playing career, Kaiser initially gained insights into the club’s first-team operations, scouting department and academy during a five-month internship.
In 2023, he took over as head of the newly established Career Center. In this role, he serves as the main point of contact for players out on loan, as well as their clubs. He also works closely with youngsters from the club's academy that are on the brink of breaking into the first team. His responsibilities include close support and individual guidance for the players, building and maintaining a national and international network, and working closely with RB Leipzig’s sporting management.
