After his two goals in the win over Aston Villa last time out, Dominic Solanke has been recognised with a place in the EAFC 25 team of the week for week eight of the game.

With the game very much in the balance, Solanke scored two goals late on, including an audacious chip over the 6'5 Emi Martinez to give Spurs the lead.

The striker has been given an 85 rated card, with his base stats reading as; 82 pace, 86 shooting, 74 passing, 85 dribbling, 33 defending, and 87 physical. Beyond these base stats, the striker also has; 90 positioning, 89 finishing, 87 shot power, 93 jumping, 91 stamina, 97 heading accuracy, and 87 strength.

It has been a really good start to life in North London for Solanke, who has four goals in eight Premier League games so far. His pressing and link up play has been second to none, and means he is making a clear contribution to the team in every single game, even when he isn't scoring. The perfect fit for Ange Postecoglu's style of play, as many have pointed out, including Ange himself.

The worry with Solanke is his workload. Richarlison has once again picked up an injury, and will be out for a minimum of four weeks. As a result, there is not much behind the 27-year old, other than a teenage Will Lankshear - as talented as he is. Fortunayrly, the international break is coming at a useful time from that point of view.

Meanwhile, Solanke has become the fifth Spurs player to be named in an EAFC team of the week since the game came out in late September. Heung-Min Son was named in team of the week two for his performance and two assists against Brentford, whilst Micky van de Ven was named in team of the week three for his incredible assist and clean sheet against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It then became three in a row, after Luka Vuskovic was named in team of the week four, after scoring a brace for loan club KVC Westerlo against Beerschot from central defence. It then became four players, and three central defenders in a row, as Radu Dragusin was named in team of the week five, for his goal and clean sheet for Romania against Cyprus in the nations league.

There would then be a break for a few weeks, before Solanke the fifth player to be given a place in the team of the week. Can Spurs sneak in one more before the international break after the game against Ipswich Town on Sunday? Let's see.
