Djibril Cissé enjoyed a successful football career.
The Frenchman turned out for the likes of Auxerre, Liverpool, Sunderland and Marseille during his time as a professional footballer.
He scored over 250 goals at club level and notched nine goals in 41 appearances for his country.
Now 41, Cisse works as a youth coach at Marseille.
He has also become a DJ and operates under the name ‘Tcheba’.
Despite now being in his forties, Cisse wants to return to professional football.
Cisse scored 96 goals in France’s top tier during his career and is determined to score four more to reach the century.
Cisse has even said he is willing to play for free to give him the best possible chance of reaching the landmark.
Cisse said, per the Daily Mail: ‘Being four goals away from 100 in Ligue 1, it doesn’t suit me. If a club comes and offers me the chance to play, I will go for free.’
It’s now a good time to remember Cisse’s incredible penalty for Panathinaikos as he teases his return to professional football.
The Frenchman joined the Greek club in 2009.
Cisse was a great success at The Greens as he scored 55 times in his two-year spell.
10 of those came from the spot, including one of the greatest penalties in football history.
Cisse strode up to the ball and struck the ball as hard as he could. The ball flew into the top corner and was so accurate and powerful that it got stuck in the net for a few seconds. View it below…
You could put Alisson Becker, Manuel Neuer and Thibaut Courtois in goal and they still wouldn’t have been able to keep Cisse’s penalty out.
The best part about his spot-kick is that he didn’t even celebrate.
He just nonchalantly jogged back to the halfway line as if he does that on an everyday basis.
If Cisse does return to the professional game, there is zero chance he will ever take a better penalty.
