The 21-year-old Portuguese full-back is currently on loan at AC Milan, but with United lacking competition for places at right-back there’s nothing to suggest Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given up on Dalot just yet.
Dalot cost United £19.8m (via Transfermarkt) when he joined from FC Porto in 2018.
Despite being highly-rated by former manager Jose Mourinho, who said “probably he [Dalot] can follow Neville in this dynamic of more than 10 years as United’s right-back,” after bringing him to the club.
This season he has made 15 appearances (via Infogol) for the Rossoneri and he will be hoping to feature more throughout the second half of the Serie A campaign.
AC Milan are currently leading Serie A — three points clear of rivals Inter Milan in second place. Reigning champions Juventus are fourth — a point behind Roma in third, and 7 points adrift of first place.
However, reports in Spain now claim Dalot’s performance are catching the attention of La Liga giants Barcelona.
El Mundo Deportivo (h/t MilanNews) claim Ronaldo Koeman is a fan and could push for the club to offer £9.7m for Dalot. That’s almost half of what we paid for him!
Things could get interesting if Milan decide they want to move for the full-back.
