Diogo Dalot will be an AC Milan player. After a lengthy transfer window, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Manchester United defender will arrive in Milan on Saturday to complete his season-long loan move to the Rossoneri.

The player will undergo medical examinations before being announced as their newest acquisition.

The Portuguese defender was also wanted by Roma, who are said to confident of completing a permanent deal for United’s Chris Smalling.

Dalot was signed from Porto two years ago for £19m but has failed to establish himself under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making just 35 appearances in all competitions as Aaron Wan-Bissaka has since arrived and become United’s everyday right-back ahead of emerging talent Brandon Williams.

In addition, United have been in talks with Porto left-back Alex Telles, which would naturally see Dalot fall even further down the pecking order.
