Federico Dimarco is set to miss at least three weeks of action after suffering a muscle injury, leaving both Inter and Italy without a key player for crucial upcoming fixtures.

The wing-back limped off in the second half of Inter’s 1-1 draw at Napoli, and on Monday, the club confirmed he ‘strained a muscle in his right thigh.’

While Inter’s immediate focus is on their two-legged Champions League clash with Feyenoord, the 27-year-old is also set to miss several key fixtures in March for both club and country.

Beyond the European tie, Dimarco is expected to sit out Inter’s Scudetto showdown against Atalanta on March 16, a crucial clash in the title race.

Serie A will then pause for the international break, during which Luciano Spalletti’s Italy will face Germany twice in the Nations League quarter-finals.

Dimarco is unlikely to recover in time, depriving the Azzurri of a player who has contributed one goal and four assists in his last six Nations League appearances.
