Inter wing-back Federico Dimarco has admitted that his rival and Milan counterpart Theo Hernandez is one of the players he thinks is the strongest in the world in their position, and has also named two former Nerazzurri players among his childhood inspirations.
The Inter left wing-back was a recent guest on the BSMT Podcast with Gianluca Gazzoli, where he briefly spoke about the players he admired most in the world.
The Italy international provided a surprise when he named his Milan rival Theo Hernandez as one of the best left-backs in the world, despite their obvious rivalry.
“There are lots of players I’ve rated. But there are also current players who I rate as well, I won’t hide it.
“I might get insults for htis, but I really rate Theo Hernandez as a player,” Dimarco said.
“You know, he plays for Milan,” he added when asked why he might get some hate for his response.
Dimarco also went on to name two former Inter players as his favourite role models growing up.
“There are also players from other teams who I’ve really liked. Like Roberto Carlos when I was younger. Another I liked when he was at Inter was Maxwell, these are the type of players that I like.”
