Another victory for Italy and another victory secured thanks to a big Nerazzurri contribution, with the Azzurri making it two wins from two in the Nations League by beating Israel. Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco and Davide Frattesi all took to the pitch for the game in Budapest after being named in Luciano Spalletti's starting line-up. The opening goal was scored by 38th minute by Frattesi, who converted a fantastic Dimarco cross to find the net for the second consecutive match in this international window. Frattesi and Bastoni played the entire match, while Dimarco was replaced by Udogie with 71 minutes on the clock. Kean added a second for Italy following a move that once again involved Frattesi, before Abu Fani pulled one back late on. Following their 2-1 success, the Azzurri sit top of League A Group 2 on maximum points.

Sitting behind Italy in Group 2 are France with three points, which Les Bleus secured by beating Belgium. Indeed, Deschamps's men bounced back from their defeat to the Azzurri on matchday 1 with a 2-0 victory over The Red Devils in Lyon (Kolo Muani and Dembelé got on the scoresheet). Marcus Thuram started the match and remained on the pitch for 67 minutes before being substituted for Barcola.

Hakan Calhanoglu's Turkey also came away with a win: Montella's side defeated Iceland 3-1 in Izmir, with Akturkoglu bagging a hat-trick. Calhanoglu, who started the game, played the first half before coming off at half-time. Following their victory, Turkey sit top of League B Group 4 with four points, the same number Wales have.

It was a disappointing evening for Marko Arnautovic and Austria: Rangnick's side were beaten 2-1 by Norway in Oslo. The Nerazzurri striker came on in the 78th minute, playing the final twelve minutes of the match. Following their loss, Austria find themselves third in League B Group 3, three points behind Slovenia and Norway, both of whom have four.
