Cryptocurrency company DigitalBits are set to become the new main shirt sponsor starting during the 2022-23 season.
This according to Italian football finance news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report that the company, currently the sleeve sponsor, will replace Socios.com as the front shirt sponsor from this season, in a deal worth €85 million to the club.
Socios.com replaced Pirelli as the main shirt sponsor over the summer after the Nerazzurri’s contract with the tire manufacturer ended, and the blockchain-based fan engagement company signed an agreement with the club worth €16 million plus performance-related add-ons for the season.
Socios.com will stay on until the 2024-25 season in a Global Advertising Rights partnership with the club worth €1 million per season, but the front of the shirt will be sponsored by DigitalBits.
In addition to being the sleeve sponsor currently, DigitalBits is already Inter’s “Official Cryptocurrency Partner,” and parent company Zytara is the club’s “Official Digital Banking Partner.”
Now, in addition to these deals, the digital banking company will also take on the role of front shirt sponsor.
