Hull City have experienced a very up and down first part of the season in the Championship, with the club eventually choosing Liam Rosenior to replace Shota Arveladze as manager.

There have been times when supporters believed the Tigers were destined for relegation back to League One, off the back of a summer transfer window that appears to have negatively impacted the squad.

Rosenior will be looking to streamline the first team squad in January, with the size of the current group proving difficult to manage in a way that will benefit the club’s fortunes in the second tier.

Manager and ownership turnover has left this squad in a bit of a mess, with so many different ideas from individuals leading to a lack of identity, January presents an opportunity to start moving away from that.

FLW’s Hull City fan pundit Ant Northgraves can see a handful of players being moved on to help Rosenior come the turn of the year.

Speaking to Football League World, Northgraves said“There’s a few candidates.

“Randell Williams should probably be moved on, there’s players like that who were signed by the previous ownership.

“We’re in different times with a different transfer budget and club ethos.

Who was sacked as Hull manager in September?

Nigel Adkins Grant McCann Shota Arveladze Andy Dawson

“Whereas the Allams were probably happy to consolidate in the Championship, the new owners really want to push for the top six, so the likes of Randell Williams and Andy Cannon aren’t going to be part of the future at this club.

“Even Tyler Smith to an extent, any of these three players or possibly all three could be moved on, to make way for some of Rosenior’s signings that he could make in January.”
