Although Diego Reyes has been linked with a move back to Club América, it appears the 26-year-old has other plans.
According to a report from Mediotiempo, Reyes does not want to return from Europe and face a substantial wage reduction.
Reyes, who was part of the Mexico squad that lifted the Gold Cup on Sunday, has one more year left on his contract with Turkish side Fenerbahçe and plans to pursue other opportunities in Europe.
Greek sides Olympiacos and PAOK are said to be very interested in signing the versatile centre-back this summer.
After moving from Porto last summer, Reyes did not get on particularly well with his new club and spent the second half of the season on loan at Leganés, making just six LaLiga appearances.
Reyes made his professional debut at América back in 2010 and left for Porto following their 2013 Clausura title-winning campaign.
