Diego Milito: “Roma is the perfect place for Mourinho.”

Former Inter attacker Diego Milito spoke about the years he worked with Jose Mourinho and the Special One’s tenure at Roma.

In a recent interview with Corriere della Sera, Milito reminisced about the day Mourinho announced he’d be leaving Inter in favor of Real Madrid.

“A mix of emotions: we were happy to have won the Champions League, but sorry not to continue working with him,” Milito told the Italian newspaper.

“His departure was a terrible blow for us, it left a mark on the team,” he added.

“Was I surprised when he joined Roma? No, Roma is the perfect place for him.”
