Diego Maradona labels Argentina FA 'a bunch of traitors'

Maradona is currently managing Liga MX side Dorados and has lead them to three wins in their last four games.

When asked about returning to the national team set-up, however, the 57-year-old was crystal clear with his thoughts.

“I won’t back to the national team because they are a bunch of traitors,” he told MARCA. “We wanted a new AFA and we put Tapia in.

“I’m also guilty because he came to ask for support and then he never called me again, that’s treason, and I spit on the traitors in the face.

“There are too many cliques, too many friends, nobody is honest. If you believe something you should speak up – not sit in silence.”
