Club Ameríca’s training seems to get more intense by the day.

Just a little over a week ago, goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín lashed out at a youth player, which forced him out of training.

Yesterday, Bruno Valdez tackled Diego Lainez from behind, which injured his ankle.

After he spent several minutes on the ground with team doctors, Lainez was helped off the pitch.

After an evaluation, he was diagnosed with a grade one ankle sprain as a result of the challenge.

However, it is severe enough for Lainez to be ruled out for the match against Puebla on Friday.

Lainez is likely to also miss their Copa MX round-of-16 match against Juárez FC, as well as the clásico against Chivas next week.
