Wolves’ summer signing, Sasa Kalajdzic, suffered a season-ending knee injury against Southampton last weekend.

And Wolves plan to replace him with Costa.

The Spaniard has been available on a free transfer since leaving Atletico Mineiro in January.

Costa will travel to England for medical tests on Tuesday and, if everything goes well, Wolves intend to sign the 33-year-old.

Costa has been away from the Premier League for five years. He played for Chelsea between 2014-2017.

During his stint with the Blues, Costa was an intimidating figure who bullied plenty of his opponents.

But one man that did not let himself be bullied is Jordan Henderson.

Back on January 20, 2015, Liverpool welcomed Chelsea to Anfield for their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg clash.

Henderson and Costa came to blows numerous times during the match at Anfield.

At one point, the Spaniard tried to intimidate Henderson by getting in his face.

But Henderson wasn’t having any of it. The Liverpool man stood still, puffed his chest out and stared Costa out.

It was a brave move from Henderson and it worked, with Costa backing down. Watch the iconic moment below…

The game finished 1-1 and, according to the Telegraph, the two players clashed in the tunnel as the two teams went back to their dressing rooms after the match.

A few moments later, Henderson reflected on the moment in an interview with the Telegraph.

He said: “I didn’t want to make any statement. It was just in that game, he was trying to intimidate some of our younger players, which I didn’t really like.

“He’s a fantastic player that any team would want because of that passion and aggression he’s got. I just don’t like the way he was doing things with our players.”

Ironically, if all goes well, Costa could make his Wolves debut against Henderson’s Liverpool at Anfield next weekend.

Henderson is an injury doubt having missed the Merseyside derby last weekend.

Hopefully, if Costa signs and Henderson gets over his injury, we get to see them clash on the pitch once again.
