On the eve of the match against Atlético Goianiense in the second round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo will now have one more weapon at their disposal.
Midfielder Diego has recovered from a virus and will be available to Domènec Torrent.
Due to the issue, Diego had been left out of the squad for Sunday’s match against Atlético Mineiro, which Flamengo lost 1-0 courtesy of a Filipe Luís own goal.
In addition to Diego, another new face in the travelling squad will be 19-year-old Ramon, who will compete for time at the left-back position with Filipe Luís and Renê.
Here’s Flamengo’s squad to face Atlético Goianiense:
Goalkeepers: Diego Alves, César and Gabriel Batista
Wing-backs: Rafinha, Filipe Luís, João Lucas, Renê, and Ramon
Centre-backs: Rodrigo Caio, Léo Pereira, Gustavo Henrique, and Matheus Thuler
Midfielders: Willian Arão, Gerson, Everton Ribeiro, Arrascaeta, Diego, and Thiago Maia
Attackers: Gabigol, Bruno Henrique, Pedro, Michael, Pedro Rocha, and Vitinho.
