At a glittering ceremony in London on Monday, Deschamps picked up the prize after guiding France to their second ever World Cup win over the summer.
Les Bleus were the outstanding team at Russia 2018, beating the likes of Argentina, Uruguay, Belgium and finally Croatia to lift the title.
And the tactician who led the side to the trophy has been named as the world’s best coach by Fifa at their Best awards bash.
The 49-year-old beat other finalists Zinedine Zidane and Zlatko Dalić after gaining the most votes from fans, national team coaches, captains and selected journalists.
