Chelsea’s passage into the FA Cup semi-finals seemed to be a foregone conclusion – or so they thought.
Despite Raheem Sterling’s penalty miss, the hosts still took a two-goal lead over Leicester City during Sunday’s last-eight tie.
But a moment of miscommunication set the wheels in motion for a second-half turnaround by the Foxes after Axel Disasi’s own goal.
The Blues’ defender’s attempt to play the ball back to Robert Sánchez under pressure saw him send a floated effort past the wrongfooted goalkeeper.
That goal proved to be a turning point as Enzo Maresca’s side snatched a leveller just 11 minutes later.
Disasi’s blushes were later spared by stoppage-time goals from Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke sending their side through to Wembley.
