Liverpool faced off against Fulham at Craven Cottage earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the EFL Cup. The Reds made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 11th minute thanks to Luis Diaz’s goal. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Issa Diop equalised for the London club in the 76th minute. However, the Merseyside club hung on and managed to secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home. Liverpool ended up booking a place in the EFL Cup final after winning the semi-final tie by an aggregate scoreline of 3-2.
