Diaby To Start, Tielemans On The Bench | 4-4-2 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup Vs Chelsea | OneFootball

Aston Villa will welcome Chelsea at Villa Park this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the FA Cup. The Villans managed to earn a dominant 5-0 win over Sheffield United recently which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.

Unai Emery will set his team up in a 4-4-2 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this game. Moussa Diaby will get a chance to play from the start of this FA Cup clash while Youri Tielemans makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Emiliano Martinez will feature in between the sticks for the Villans after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Ezri Konsa will operate alongside Clement Lenglet at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers at bay during the game.

Matty Cash will get a chance to impress as the right-back while Alex Moreno hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.

Ezri Konsa will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Douglas Luiz will anchor the midfield with Boubacar Kamara as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. John McGinn will get a chance to shine as the right-winger while Leon Bailey looks to put his pace to good use on the right flank.

Jacob Ramsey and Youri Tielemans will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Ollie Watkins and Moussa Diaby will lead the line for the West Midlands club in the final third. Both of them need to be at their best if they want to threaten the Chelsea goal in midweek.

Morgan Rogers will be available for selection on the bench and might come on in the final quarter of the game if the Villans need a goal by then.
