Boulaye Dia has completed his medical with Lazio and has also signed his Biancocelesti contracts, and now all that is missing is an official announcement.
The Senegal international has agreed to a four-year contract in the Italian capital, which will tie him to the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2028.
Lazio will pay Salernitana a fee of €12m and will also send Primavera defender Fabio Ruggeri in the other direction to sweeten the deal according to Sky Sport Italia.
Dia had a very stop-start season with Salernitana last term, largely due to personal reasons. He eventually mustered up four goals from 17 appearances, but was not able to help Salernitana avoid relegation to Serie B.
It was a completely different story the year before, as Dia put in a herculean shift to keep Salernitana up, scoring just shy of a goal in every other game. His 2022-23 tally eventually stod at 16 goals from 33 outings with a team that finished 15th in Serie A.
