CEO Ivan Gazidis will leave his role at AC Milan upon the expiry of his contract and his replacement is already being lined up, a report claims.
MilanNews reported earlier today that Gazidis’ contract as Milan CEO will expire in November and the decision of RedBird is that they will let him leave once his contract runs out, as they wish to implement their own man in that role given that Gazidis was brought in by Elliott Management.
According to what is being reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Gazidis will indeed not be the CEO of the ‘new’ Milan under RedBird. The current CEO will not have his deal renewed as the American fund will go in a new direction.
The name of his replacement is already circulating and it is expected to be Giorgio Furlani that gets a promotion, as he is Elliott’s portfolio manager and a member of AC Milan’s board of directors.
