Di Maria Opens Up on What It Is Like to Play Alongside Messi at PSG | OneFootball

Angel Di Maria has featured alongside with Lionel Messi for a multitude of key matches with the Argentina national team. But this season has been his first in tagging along with the veteran forward at the club level.

Messi and Di Maria have shared the pitch together in several key matches with Paris Saint-Germain so far this season, including in the team’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Olympique Lyonnais.

Overall, Di Maria has been much appreciative of playing alongside his long-time national team counterpart at PSG, which he opened up about to Telefoot.

“Playing with Leo [Messi] in club football was one of the things that I was missing,” Di Maria said. “He’s always been the best player in the world and he will continue to be. Nobody else does what he does on a pitch. He is unique, we have to make the most of him.”

Both Argentine talents sure are aiming to lead PSG to UEFA Champions League triumph in the ongoing campaign. They each have won this competition before, but they still well are looking to add another Champions League winner’s medal to their trophy cabinet.

Overall, PSG is facing much pressure to win the Champions League competition this season.
