Ex-Serie A striker Paolo Di Canio said Inter’s first half in the Champions League Final was ‘unacceptable, incomprehensible and intolerable’ and hopes the Nerazzurri show a different mindset in the second half.

Inter are 2-0 at the break in the 2025 Champions League Final against PSG.

The Serie A giants had a shocking start, seeing their ex-defender Achraf Hakimi and French winger Désiré Doué score in the opening 20 minutes.

“It was unacceptable, incomprehensible and intolerable to witness a first half like that,” Di Canio told Sky Sport during the halftime break.

“We can’t be inside the players’ heads; we can only judge their attitude. I hope Simone appeals to the players’ pride and dignity inside the dressing room. There’s no mutual support on the goals. Hakimi’s goal was inexcusable, too easy. They need to come back on the field with a completely different mindset if they hope to get back into the match and at least save dignity and honour.”
