Development of talent at BVB - "The best players adapt very quickly!"

Borussia Dortmund have developed many young players into established Bundesliga professionals. One of them – Youssoufa Moukoko – recently scored the decisive goal in the derby. How does Borussia Dortmund manage to promote players from the youth system to the senior squad?

We sat down with five BVB coaches to talk to them about developing talented youngsters. In addition to Otto Addo, Daniel Rios and Eren Yilmaz have been specifically looking after top talents since the summer. Marco Lehmann and Karsten Gorges coach the Borussia Dortmund U16s and U17s. All five are in agreement: their work extends far beyond putting young players through their paces on the football pitch.
