It became increasingly clear in the last few days that Paris Saint-Germain’s Noha Lemina (18) would not finish his loan for Sampdoria. The young forward had struggled to break into Andrea Pirlo’s Serie B side as he made only one appearance back in August during his stay.
Foot Mercato revealed that Lemina had failed to settle in his new country and suffered serious family problems while away in Genoa. A reported move to Amiens SC was expected to bring the prospect back to France, but this deal was hijacked when Wolverhampton Wolves stole in.
The Premier League side might be in an unfamiliar country but they offer a familiar face as Lemina’s older brother Mario Lemina (30) already plays for the team. The brothers are reportedly close and that relationship appeared to be a strong selling point for the club after the struggles he’s experienced.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Lemina completed his medical with Wolves earlier today and will be expected to join the club on a loan deal with a €1 million purchase option. If the option were to be exercised then the forward would be provided a contract that would see him at the club on a 5-year basis.
