Barcelona will entertain Real Betis at the Nou Camp on Saturday afternoon as they try to earn another positive result in La Liga. The Catalan giants managed to secure an impressive 3-1 victory away at Villarreal last weekend, so they will go into this game full of confidence and hoping to win so that they can move up the league table.

Xavi will stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this game. Sergino Dest, Oscar Mingueza and Philippe Coutinho could all start as the Barca boss looks to find the right formula to beat Real Betis this weekend.

Defence

Marc-André ter Stegen will continue to play in goal for the Catalan outfit after he shipped in one goal versus Villarreal in his last league outing. Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo will operate as Xavi’s centre-backs as they focus on keeping things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.

Sergino Dest could get a chance to shine at right-back while Oscar Mingueza fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to express themselves in the opposition half. Jordi Alba is a major doubt for this game and is unlikely to be risked from the start.

Eric Garcia will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Xavi could opt for a midfield three of Nico Gonzalez, Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong after the trio put in an impressive showing collectively versus Villarreal last weekend. All three Barca midfielders will have to ensure that they win the 50-50 battles and establish their authority over the opposition at the centre of the park.

Riqui Puig will have to be content with a spot on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if required. However, Pedri and Sergi Roberto will be sidelined for this game as they are both recovering from a muscle injury.

Attack

Gavi will operate as the left-sided wide player while Philippe Coutinho gets a chance to impress on the right-wing. Memphis Depay will once again get the responsibility to lead the line for the Catalan giants up top following a goal-scoring display in his last league appearance.

Ansu Fati is still out with a hamstring problem but Luuk de Jong should be fit to start on the bench.
