According to Fabrice Hawkins, Désiré Doué (19)  has signed his new contract as a Paris Saint-Germain player after completing a deal to leave Rennes and sign for the Ligue 1 champions.

The France U21 international has attracted lots of interest in his services over the summer as speculation mounted over his long-term future at Les Rouges et Noirs. Ultimately, Les Parisiens and Bayern Munich were the two clubs who showed the most interest in the French attacking midfielder but the Rennes academy graduate has opted to stay in France over a move to the Bundesliga.

Rennes are set to receive a fee in the region of €50m after completing the sale of Doué, Hawkins understands. The 19-year-old has signed a 5-year contract which should keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2029. The Frenchman has also passed his medical and is expected to take part in his first training session with PSG on Monday.
