FC Barcelona have managed to secure the La Liga title and have even held a parade in the city already. Fans of the club gathered and celebrated with the players as they showed off the titles that were won this season. After all, Barcelona have fought long and hard for these titles.

Having played in four major competitions this season, Hansi Flick’s team went far in each and every single one of them. They managed to win three of those, including La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. The one title that managed to elude them, unfortunately, was the UEFA Champions League.

Coincidentally, however, it was the only competition in which Barça’s eternal rivals Real Madrid did not come face to face with the Catalan giants. In all three of the other mentioned competitions, Hansi Flick’s side managed to directly beat Carlo Ancelotti’s team to all three titles.

Praise for Barcelona from Ancelotti

Now, following Barça’s latest league title, even the Real Madrid coach himself had nothing but positive words for them. As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti believes that the Catalan giants should be congratulated for their achievement:

“Barcelona performed brilliantly and should be congratulated.”

He had even more praise for Barcelona, however, as he spoke about their style of football and commented on how beautiful he believed it to be. Moreover, he confessed that they deserved to win this title:

“They were the most consistent team in the league and played very beautiful football. Yes, they deserved to win this title.”

A warning for the future

However, the current Real Madrid coach did end his praise for them by sending out a warning that while they can enjoy their dominance this season, it will not be the same in the next campaign:

“Next season is gonna be a different story.”

Unfortunately for Ancelotti, he will not be there to coach Real Madrid next season nor in the upcoming Club World Cup. Moreover, he will no longer lead the club after failing to beat Barcelona even once this season, with the most recent addition to his misery having been the 4-3 win for La Blaugrana at the Montjuic Stadium. Instead, it will be former Los Blancos player Xabi Alonso who will return to Spain and try to compete with Flick’s Barcelona next season.
