Derby County need a resolution off of the pitch and fast with their existence remaining under threat right now.
New owners have been needed for months but as we approach the deadline set for the start of February to find such people we’re still no closer really to having a solution.
It’s naturally worrying times for all connected with the Rams, and many have taken to social media to try and put forward different ideas that could help the club out in these desperate moments.
Indeed, former Derby player Alan Hinton has sent out a rather novel idea on Twitter, with him suggesting Rams fan Niall Horan might be able to help their cause:
Former One Direction band member Horan is a lifelong Derby supporter and has spoken himself about his hopes for a resolution for his club in the near future.
Whether such a concert could be held in these current times is a different question altogether but it’s a bit of blue-sky thinking from Hinton and that could be what is needed at this stage.
Hopefully, the Rams will find a new owner that can get them out of the mire but as things stand you can bet that supporters of the club won’t be holding their collective breath.
