Derby County have officially entered administration and are set to be deducted 12 points from this season’s Championship total.
The Rams confirmed their intention to call in administrators on Friday.
Owner Mel Morris admitted over the weekend that the coronavirus pandemic had cost the east Midlands side £20m in lost revenue.
And now it has been confirmed that Wayne Rooney’s side are in administration and will be given a 12 point pentalty.
It means that Derby drop to the foot of the table on -2 points.
