Derby County host Nottingham Forest in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division at Pride Park, while Portsmouth could clinch the Southern title.

While Derby are eighth in a very tight mid-table, Forest sit second but a dozen points behind leaders Newcastle United, who host Liverpool Feds. Stourbridge and Huddersfield Town are either side of the dotted line and up against third and fourth-placed visitors in Burnley and Wolves respectively. Huddersfield drew 0-0 with Halifax on Wednesday, one of only two midweek matches to survive the rain.

Portsmouth will be Southern Premier champions if they win at MK Dons and Hashtag United fail to beat Cardiff City Ladies. Rugby Borough face Ipswich Town in a meeting of third and fifth, the latter seven points behind but with two games in hand.

The Division 1 North title tussle continues as leaders Sporting Khalsa entertain Lincoln City with a one-point advantage over Loughborough Lightning, who go Sutton Coldfield Town with a game in hand.

Second-placed Hull City are best-placed in the Division 1 North table, having played three games fewer than Middlesbrough whom they trail by just two points. The Tigers are home to Stockport, while Boro go to FC United. Leeds United and Barnsley clash in a must-win match for both title-hopefuls, Doncaster Rovers Belles play third-in-the-table Durham Cestria at the Eco-Power Stadium.

The Division 1 South East championship is a two horse race and the rivals meet as AFC Wimbledon host Norwich City. The Dons lead the table by ten points, the Canaries have a couple of games to make up on them. One midweek match saw Actonians defeat QPR to move within two points of fourth-placed Rangers. Roschelle Shakes bagged a brace for the hosts, QPR pulling two late goals back.

Relegated Selsey are up against Division 1 South West top team Exeter City, AFC Bournemouth are eight points off the pace from two games fewer and away at Portishead, who sit three points above the drop zone. Torquay United meet Maidenhead United as they try to escape the bottom two, Southampton Women are also in the Gulls’ sights and away to Bridgwater.
