Deportivo La Coruña have been relegated from La Liga.
Clarence Seedorf’s side lost 4-2 to Barcelona this evening, meaning they are now mathematically down.
The Estadio Riazor side sit in 18th position on 28 points, 12 behind Espanyol in 17th with only three games left of the season.
Depor have spent the past three seasons in Spain’s top division, finishing 15th, 16th and 15th respectively.
They started this campaign with Pepe Mel as manager, then hiring Cristóbal Parralo in October, before finally settling on Seedorf in March.
The Dutchman had been unbeaten in his last four games before this evening, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the drop.
