Denzel Dumfries and Robin Gosens look to be the two players likeliest to be sold in the next couple of transfer windows as Inter look to meet financial targets which they failed to do in the summer transfer window just gone.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri still must make a big sale before the end of June 2023 to meet their target of a net transfer profit, and that Dumfries and Gosens would be prime candidates.

Inter did not make the anticipated big name sale during the summer transfer window as the right offer never came along and it was never really opportune for the club to replace key first-team players.

The likes of Andrea Pinamonti and Cesare Casadei were sold to bring in some cash, but these deals will not be enough to meet the full target, which must be met by the end of the current fiscal year on June 30, 2023.

Accordingly, a big name sale is still certainly on the way, and Chelsea-linked Dumfries as well as Gosens, who had been a target for Bayer Leverkusen towards the end of the summer window, would be major candidates.

Meanwhile, with both Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij both seeing their current contracts run out at the end of June 2023, a January sale of either would be a possibility as things stand.
