Denzel Dumfries and Robin Gosens would be the two players likeliest to be sold by Inter in order to avoid selling a bigger name player from their starting eleven.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair are both candidates for the Nerazzurri to cash in on instead of on a player like Alessandro Bastoni.

Inter will still need to make a significant sale in order to meet financial targets before the end of the current fiscal year.

The Nerazzurri sold the likes of Andrea Pinamonti and Cesare Casadei in the summer, but did not make a big name sale of a player from the starting eleven as expected.

Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in defender Alessandro Bastoni who they had pursued during the summer, although Inter are not keen to let go of a player like him or Nicolo Barella, Milan Skriniar, or Lautaro Martinez.

Gosens could leave, although bringing in the approximately €25 million needed to recoup the fee paid for the German would be tricky.

Meanwhile, Dumfries would likely be seen as the most “replaceable” regular starter from the team, and a sale of the Dutchman would likely be enough on its own to meet financial targets not reached in the summer.
