The Danes are missing an influential midfielder through suspension for the last-16 clash
Denmark must find a solution for the suspended Morten Hjulmand when they take on hosts Germany in Saturday’s Euro 2024 last-16 clash.
Influential Hjulmand picked up two yellow cards during the group stage to pick up a one-match ban for his nation's biggest game in three years.
The answer to who replaces him to sit beside Christian Eriksen and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be between Brentford pair Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen, with the former expected to get the nod. Thomas Delaney is another option but has recently struggled with illness.
Jonas Wind's place is up for grabs after a couple of below-par displays, and Yussuf Poulsen is best positioned to take his spot alongside Rasmus Hojlund. Kasper Dolberg will be an option off the bench.
Predicted Denmark XI: Schmeichel; Andersen, Vestergaard, Christensen; Kristiansen, Norgaard, Eriksen, Hojbjerg, Bah; Hojlund, Poulsen
Suspended: M. Hjulmand
Time and date: 8pm BST on Saturday June 29, 2024
