Former Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham striker Demba Ba has joined İstanbul Başakşehir and the move has spawned one of the strangest announcement videos we’ve seen.
The forward, now 33, joins from Shanghai Shenhua and returns to Turkey having previously played for Beşiktaş and Göztepe.

Back to that unveiling though, which begins with The Godfather, features a dated music video and ends with Ba, in the club’s orange shirt.
At least one fan tried to explain it but we admit, we’re lost.
Ba, who has 19 caps for Senegal and scored 50 goals in the Premier League, joins the likes of Robinho, Emmanuel Adebayor and Gael Clichy at his new club who are currently top of the Süper Lig table.
