Reports in Italy suggest Italy and Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has emerged as a possible FIGC presidential candidate.
Former Juventus striker Del Piero, a 2006 Italy World Cup winner, could be one of the candidates for the upcoming FIGC Presidential elections.
The voting will occur on February 3, 2025, and it’s still unclear whether current President Gabriele Gravina will stand for re-election.

According to the Italian news agency Adnkronos, Del Piero is considered by ‘clubs and technical bodies’ to be a ‘strong’ name for the role, but it’s still uncertain whether the 50-year-old will be among the candidates next year.
However, Cronache di Spogliatoio adds that Del Piero could confirm his candidacy next week, precisely on Wednesday.
The FIGC assembly consists of clubs from Serie A, Serie B, Lega Pro, and Lega Nazionale Dilettanti, plus 52 athletes, 26 coaches, and nine referee representatives.
There are 276 delegates, and the new President is elected if he receives 50 per cent plus one vote.
