Leicester City have completed the signing of former England youth international defender Georgia Eaton-Collins.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Leicester City this afternoon.

The 22-year-old joins The Foxes on the back of a four-year spell combining football with her studies in the United States. The defender represented the Florida Gators and UCF Knights during her time Stateside.

Eaton-Collins spent her youth on the books of Barclays Women’s Super League heavyweights Arsenal prior to her move to America. The youngster never made a senior appearance for The Gunners but she was named their 2017/2018 Under-20s Player of the Season and represented the club in the WSL Academy League.

After completing her move to Leicester City, Eaton-Collins said I’m really excited to be here and to have signed my first professional contract after spending time in America – I’m ready to get going.

“The training ground is great and of a high standard. I don’t think you get much better than this, so it’s great to officially be in and training with the girls.”

Eaton-Collins becomes Leicester City head coach Willie Kirk’s fourth January transfer window signing following the recent additions of Remy Siemsen, Janina Leitzig and Courtney Nevin.
