Kevin Wimmer has revealed he wants to make his loan move from Stoke City to Karlsruher a permanent one during the summer transfer window.

The defender joined the German second-tier side on a temporary basis back in the January transfer window, and has since made just four appearances for the club.

But despite that, it seems Wimmer is keen to extend his time with the club beyond the end of the current campaign.

Speaking to German outlet KA-News about his future, Wimmer said: “Of course I’m happy. I’ve felt really good since the first day I was here. I was well received by the entire team and the coaching team.

“I know “Eiche” (Karlsruher manager Christian Eichner) from our time in Cologne, we already had a good relationship there. He is outstanding as a human being. It feels good that he wants to keep me here. I would be happy if the club saw it that way too.
